The PLC does have that large dump pocket in the front though, and that can definitely free up some of the space in the main compartment. The most I can fit in there is my wallet, keys, chapstick, and some other small items. Not sure what phone you have or how big it is, but I have an iPhone 13 pro max and it does not fit in the QAP of the PLC. Also, the quick access pocket is way smaller in the PLC and that helps too. I would say it’s easier in the PLC just because the laptop sleeve in the CHZ is tighter and way more suspended whereas the PLC has a looser flap that you can bend. If you have more specific questions feel free.Įdit 2: I didn’t mentioned the shallowness of the CPL24 because it could be seen as a feature instead of a flaw for someone finding the CPP too boxy but yes, for an overall same look and size on your back the Aer can pack more in the main compartment. Its a great bag but IMHO the CPP is a better one and with equivalent volume/utility there is no justification for keeping both. I personally don’t care about water bottle holder or the luggage pass through but its great to have them in case ofįrom the CPL24 I’ll miss the main fabric, the low profile side and top handles and the streamlined look. Not noticeable empty on the back TBH but all grams count when fully loaded. In addition the 2 front pockets of the CPP are roomy and really practical, using the whole bag surface so you can pack more stuff for quick access while the CPL front pocket has real limited use.Flipping the bag on the go seems easy and smooth on Evergoods promo videos but in reality it’s a cumbersome for me to grab something quickly from the front pocket, especially when bag is fully loaded. The Aer has been designed with full vertical use in mind while the CPL has some horizontal elements (laptop sleeve, front pocket). (trade-off, it uses main compartment space) CPL top pocket doesn’t eat the main compartment space (good idea in theory) but it’s very shallow and unzip so widely from side to side that I dropped items out of the bag few times when I was opening it on the go.CPP has better ventilated back panel with the air flow channel and meshy fabric, I know the CPL24 v3 is already an improvement from past versions but it’s not as breathable for someone like me walking a lot.CPL straps are narrower and a little bit slippery on my shoulders when not using the sternum staps. Aer harness system is more comfortable, larger straps, more padded.Since the 2 bags are often compared I thought I would share the reasons here: After 3 weeks of use, not really convinced I ordered the Aer City Pack Pro and finally decided to sell the Evergoods. I was in the market for a 22/25 liters EDC bag to replace my BE Forge when I bought the CPL24 v3 because all the bells and whistles read online.
